The cause of the war in the Pacific in World War Two, which saw thousands of Allied troops die and hundreds of thousands of Japanese military personnel and civilians meet a terrible end, can be laid at the feet of the United States, for denying Japan vital resources, oil, steel etc, in the 1930s.
